Kane Springs Canyon

Kane Springs Canyon is on the south side of the Colorado River outside Moab. To get there, take the Kane Creek Boulevard from U.S. 191 in Moab next to the McDonald's. Follow it out of town to the south bank of the Colorado. There are many petroglyphs on this road, beginning at Moon Flower Canyon. I've included those on the pages entitled South Side of the Colorado River and Moab Mastodon. The road follows the river bank until it reaches Kane Springs Canyon and turns east away from the river. From what I've read, there are many panels in the canyon, but we ran out of time when we were there. I really wanted to see the Birthing Panel, so we passed everything to get to it before we lost daylight. Hopefully, we'll get back soon to find the other rock art in the canyon.

Much like the Bloomington Boulder, the Birthing Panel is a single large boulder covered with petroglyphs on all sides.
