Parowan Gap

The Parowan Gap is about 20 minutes Northeast of Parowan and has some of the best-known, deeply-carved petroglyphs in the state. From Parowan, take the Gap Road out of town and pass the Little Salt Lake to a well-marked parking lot. The Gap is about 100 feet long and contains many large panels. Most of the panels are at ground level and on the north side of the road. There are a few on the south side of the road that are a bit higher. We arrived just as it stopped raining, which helped make the petroglyphs very clear.
